14.05.2019 è la data di pubblicazione del mio primo articolo di presentazione di questo libro, in versione originale in inglese, autografata da Simon, in occasione dell’annuale fiera wine di Trento.
14.05.2019 is the publication date of my first presentation article for this book, in the original English version, signed by Simon, on the occasion of the annual Trento wine fair.
Sono passati appena due anni ed è già realtà la traduzione del libro in italiano, ed aderisco con piacere alla richiesta di scriverne di nuovo, rileggendolo con ancora più interesse.
Just two years have passed and the translation of the book into Italian is already a reality, and I gladly agree to the request to write it again, rereading it with even more interest.
Leggere nella propria lingua consente di vivere con maggiore profondità le emozioni e quanto l’autore voglia trasmettere. In questi due anni ho avuto modo di leggere ed approfondire la mia conoscenza sugli orange wine, scrivere di vini sloveni, degustare vini georgiani, avvicinarmi a quelle regioni. Le anfore, i qvevri, costruirci la cantina intorno, interrarli per custodire e coccolare la fermentazione spontanee sulle bucce di queste uve anche bianche.
Reading in your own language allows you to experience emotions and what the author wants to convey with greater depth. In these two years I have had the opportunity to read and deepen my knowledge on orange wines, write about Slovenian wines, taste Georgian wines, get closer to those regions. The amphorae, the qvevri, build the cellar around them, bury them to preserve and pamper the spontaneous fermentation on the skins of these grapes, even white.
Simon è ovviamente entusiasta della traduzione del suo libro in italiano, nella terra che come sottolinea ha già tanta esperienza ben etichettata in bottiglie di qualità a partire dal Friuli e tutto il tacco italico!
Simon is obviously enthusiastic about the translation of his book into Italian, in the land that, as he points out, already has a lot of well-labeled experience in quality bottles starting from Friuli and all the Italian heel!
Leggere è un privilegio ed accompagnarsi nel viaggio e nel racconto di James, un’esperienza piacevole con i dettagli delle sue visite e conoscenze direttamente in cantina, un gran lavoro!

D’altro canto chi ama il vino ed in particolare degustarlo, cercando di capire cosa e quanto sta centellinando, dovrebbe avere conoscenza e leggere bene di questo argomento.
On the other hand, those who love wine and in particular taste it, trying to understand what and how much they are sipping, should have knowledge and read this topic well.
Quindi consiglio la lettura di questo libro agevolati ora dalla versione in italiano, perché repetita iuvant, lo dico a me stesso, che posso dire di averne letti tanti e tanti di più ne vorrò leggere ancora, per bere meglio e consapevole.
So I recommend reading this book now facilitated by the Italian version, because repetita iuvant, I tell myself, that I can say that I have read many and many more I will want to read again, to drink better and aware.
